Tivo8k – One Subscription for Smarters Pro and TiViMate

How to Set Up Smart IPTV on a Samsung or LG Television

Smart IPTV, which also appears as SIPTV, is built for Samsung and LG televisions and does one unusual thing that catches everyone out: it has no login screen. Rather than typing credentials into the TV, you upload your playlist against that television MAC address on the developer website, and the set collects it. Odd, but it is why the app stays quick on modest TV hardware.

What you need

  • A Samsung or LG set carrying the Smart IPTV app
  • The MAC address the app displays on first launch
  • Your personal M3U link

Step-by-step setup

  1. Install Smart IPTV on the TV

Search the Samsung or LG store for "Smart IPTV" and install it. Open it once and write down the MAC address shown on screen, because the next step needs it and you will be on another device by then.

    Get your Tivo8k login

  2. Upload the playlist

On a phone or laptop go to siptv.app/mylist. Enter the MAC address exactly as shown, paste your Tivo8k M3U link into the URL field, tick "Keep online" and press Send.

  3. Restart the app

Close Smart IPTV on the TV and open it again. Channels and the EPG load from the playlist.

  4. Activate after the trial

You get seven days, then it asks a small one-time activation for that specific television at siptv.app/activation. That payment goes to the app developer and is entirely separate from your Tivo8k subscription; we take no part in it.

Common errors and fixes

The list uploads but the TV shows nothing

Wait a minute and restart before assuming it failed. Then check the MAC was typed exactly, colons included, since one wrong character sends the list to a television that does not exist. Note also that it holds only one playlist at a time.

Smart IPTV (SIPTV) IPTV FAQ

What is the difference between Smart IPTV and SSIPTV?

They are separate apps by different developers that solve the same problem in almost the same way, and the similar names cause endless confusion. Smart IPTV uses the MAC upload described above. SSIPTV can accept a link directly on the television. Either works with a Tivo8k playlist; pick whichever your TV store actually stocks.
