Step-by-step setup
Find the Xtream option in your app
IPTV Smarters calls it "Login with Xtream Codes API". TiViMate calls it "Xtream Codes login". Most others abbreviate to "Xtream" or simply "API". If a player offers both this and M3U, take this one.
Enter the server URL
The full address, http:// included, with the port on the end, shaped like http://example.com:8080. Nothing goes after the port. This single field is responsible for the majority of failed logins.
Enter username and password
Copy both directly from the message and mind the capitals, because they are case sensitive. The profile name is cosmetic and affects nothing at all.
Save and let it sync
Channels, on-demand content and the guide download on their own. Keep the three values somewhere safe: adding a second television later takes under a minute if you have them, and a message to support if you do not.
Common errors and fixes
The app asks for an M3U URL instead
A few older players only understand playlists. Use the M3U link from the same activation message, which carries the identical account in a different wrapper. The M3U guide covers what to do with it.
